Permits and placement
Does a City park need a permit for portable toilets?
Yes. Portable restrooms in a City park need a Park Use Permit, and the units must sit on dirt or concrete. The Park Management Division asks for two weeks' notice.
When is a Special Event Permit needed?
For outdoor events that impact three or more City departments. The City's pages say 30 days' notice is needed.
The count
How many toilets does an event need?
The count is set from the peak and the use. The City's form suggests one toilet per 200 people, including ADA units, as a question, not a rule.
Do you include an accessible unit?
Yes, when the event or the form calls for one. It is planned into the count and placed on a firm route.
Servicing and pickup
How often are the units serviced?
On a schedule set from the use, written into the plan and posted at each unit. A visit can be called in when a unit fills.
When are the units picked up?
On the agreed closing date, with the condition recorded.
Delivery and the towns
Do you deliver to Belen and Los Lunas?
Yes. The route and window are confirmed on the call, because the drive is about 34 to 48 km.
Is there a licence for renting portable toilets in New Mexico?
None was found in the sources reviewed. The hauling of the waste is regulated, and the hauler's permits are the ones to ask about.
